In two recent Expression of Interest draws, Ontario issued 641 invitations to immigrate to Canada under the Masters’ Graduate and Ph.D. Graduate streams of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
The drawing process took place on October 25, 2022.
535 applicants who received a score of 35 or higher were invited to participate in the Master’s Graduate draw.
The minimum score required for the Ph.D. The graduate’s draw was 24, and 106 invitations were sent out.
Candidates have to have submitted their profiles for both drawings within the previous 12 months.

Masters Graduate Stream Expression of Interest Draw

Ontario Expression of Interest Ranking System
Points are awarded based on the following attributes:
1. Their educational background, including their academic level and the subject of study.
2. Proficiency in either French or English.
3. The desire to relocate outside of the Greater Toronto Area.
4. Level of expertise and work experience, past earnings, and other elements important to employment prospects in Ontario
5. Requirements of the province’s or region’s labor market.
Masters Graduate Stream
This route gives international students who earned a master’s degree in Ontario the chance to become permanent residents without needing an employment offer.
The following requirements must be satisfied by an applicant in order to be qualified:
1. Completed a Master’s degree program in Ontario at an eligible institution that lasted at least a year full-time.
2. Obtained a minimum CLB/NCLC language score of 7 or higher in either English or French.
3. Spent at least one year of the previous two legitimately residing in Ontario.
4. Possess enough money for settlement.
5. Plan to work and reside in Ontario.
6. Legal status either in Ontario or elsewhere.
7. Applications from outside of Canada won’t be considered.
8. Within two years of finishing the requirements for the master’s degree, the application must be filed.
Ph.D. Graduates Stream
If they have a Ph.D. from Ontario, this stream gives overseas students the chance to become permanent residents without needing a work offer.
The following requirements must be satisfied by an applicant in order to be qualified:
1. Completed at least two years of full-time study in a Ph.D. program at an Ontario university that is qualified.
2. Spent at least one year of the previous two legitimately residing in Ontario.
3. Possess enough money for settlement.
4. Plan to work and reside in Ontario.
5. Within two years of finishing the requirements for the Ph.D. degree, the application must be turned in.
